The mower features Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), a protective seal inside the tool to safeguard the tool from water and dust. This XPT™ technology is engineered for improved operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components. This 18 Volt battery assures the fastest charge time, while ensuring that users return to the task-at-hand. This mower features Star Protection Computer Controls™ communication technology, which facilitates tool and battery to exchange data in real time. The Star Protection technology also monitors conditions while in use to safeguard against overloading, over discharging, and overheating.
